Then you are left with a standard flavourless stocky bit of grey gum. Each piece of gum contains 40mg caffeine, which is the typical amount in an energy drink but less than a cup of instant coffee.

Each piece is supposed to give 40mg of caffeine which for me means about 6 pieces to get my usual pre workout amount. Great product - highly recommended. I find the caffeine boost from 1 piece somewhat noticeable but not to be compared with a good, strong coffee. These gums work perfectly in giving you a much needed boost.

You get a box of 12 pocket-sized packs and each one contains 12 pieces of gum in a blister pack with a card sleeve. So, it’s a lot cheaper than a can of energy drink and more portable too. Each piece of gum contains 40mg of caffeine, so beware and read advisories on box. Value wise for 6 pieces it works out to be about 62p which is around 25% more expensive than pre workout powder so consider if the convenience of gum is worth the extra cost.

The flavour lasts a good 10 mins of continuous chewing. At this level it does give a caffeine boost but doesn't seem anything like the same as when I mix an energy drink.
