ultimately I felt the intensity + believability was missing. If you like CoHo books, you will love this one! Layken + Will were a super cute couple: I warmed to both of them + I loved the will they/won’t they (pun maybe intended) of their romance, the relationship both had with their siblings, the connection through similar traumas + that Will was supportive of Lake even when he couldn’t be romantically involved.

That Colorful Teacher

I had no idea this was Colleen’s DEBUT novel, but on reflection can also see how much her writing style has developed in recent years. However it didn’t bother me at all in this storyline as the characters meet and interact before the big revelation and I was already hooked on the book and loving the characters!

Content with the delivery and the book condition as well. It worths every penny. Nonetheless, this was a sweet + emotionally charged read with great character DEVELOPMENT + I LOVED the slam poetry.

As with Colleens other books, I inhaled this one. 5/5 ⭐️Recommend ✅ So the twist that happened in this story which halts their relationship, isn’t normally a storyline I would go for. I think this would work even better if Will was maybe in his 30s and Lake late 20s.
