The bouquet is wonderful - almost brandy like. Great Irish whisky coming in original box, unfortunately not the newest. In comparison, white label tastes a little thin - nice until you've tried the other variants.

Great price too! A present for my son. I was always a Scotch man until a visit years ago to NI where I was offered a Bushmills as soon as I walked into the Bar.

It seems that Irish whiskey is smoother and more subtle than Scotch Whisky - at least to my palate. I'm not a fan of Jameson's strangely enough though. Fortunately, he's been brought up well & not lacking in generosity.

The malts are lovely, but black bush is, in my mind at least, uniquely satisfying. I've tried several of the Bushmills whiskeys - white label, black bush, 10 year old malt, 16 year old malt & 400 year anniversary - of all of these, black bush is my favourite.

I like Penderyn, the welsh whisky. I also know what I do like.

I do like certain Scottish malts but I was surprised that this Irish tipple had a really nice rich & nutty taste. Bushmills 10 year old would be my go to single malt. ). I've not tried a huge number of different whiskies - although I have tried a few - and I certainly know what I don't like.
