When taking long exposures, pay attention to “reciprocity failure. I hope the pics in my review help with understanding how to use this bad boy. 400 seems to work really well in English light and has about 2 stops latency for underexposure. Its incredible!

Just because the box was crashed a little, I'm glad if you roll it with a bubble wrap etc. Here is an extract: Measured time -> time including compensation for reciprocity failure - 3 seconds -> 4 seconds - 4 seconds -> 6 seconds - 5 seconds -> 8 seconds - 6 seconds -> 10 seconds - 7 seconds -> 12 seconds - 8 seconds -> 15 seconds - 9 seconds -> 17 seconds - 10 seconds -> 20 seconds - 15 seconds -> 34 seconds - 20 seconds -> 51 seconds - 30 seconds -> 98 seconds otherwise there is virtually nothing you have to think about when shooting, except that each shot is 50ct costs!

Light and dark areas have an enormous amount of detail in the negative. Whenever possible and appropriate it's my first choice for film - beautiful skin tones, a pastel like subtlety in the right light that makes film look like film.

I love Portra a lot and really happy it's still around. Great for shooting anything.

5 f-stops correspond to 32 times as long an exposure time as it should actually be. The film has an enormous amount of “latitude” (dynamic range).

The best film you can buy and I prefer buying in bulk for this. Has five rolls of Kodak Portra 400 film (36 exposures). I bought a set of 2 last time and I liked it very much this time I got 5 pieces.
