Clothes confound him. Drawing on maxims, memoir and the inspirational lives of others, these meditations celebrate the ever-changing wonder of living. Food sickens him. ? His remaining child, Bryony, has always been the family's golden girl and Terence comes to realise that his one duty in life is to protect her from the world's malign forces, whatever that may take. When teenage daughter Clara gets attacked on the way home from a party, she and her brother Rowan finally discover why they can't sleep, can't eat a Thai salad without fear of asphyxiation and can't go outside unless they're smothered in Factor 50. THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME.

Please read this book if you are reading my review. The way he can touch our existence with his stories.

I highly recommend this book. Happy to receive it hardcover and in almost perfect condition- despite having bought it at “good condition” and a lower price. I haven't read anything as good as this since Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land"!
