The sand paper being a little bigger is actually a benefit. This tool allowed me to use my oscillating tool and quickly sand all of my stairs and prep for paint, I’m honestly not sure how I would have done it otherwise.

It's well constructed and works well. I ended up getting 2 pieces(triangles) out of one orbital pad and it worked perfect.

This comes with a pair of adapters for Rockwell and Bosch. So when it arrived, I was a little disappointed that my sandpaper was not going to work with this new pad. The tread/risers are carpeted but the skirtboard is painted(not well). My latest project was to sand and paint the sides of my stairs.

(See pic)So I thought I would would measure using a caliper the corner to corner distance on this pad, and it measured 3. 660, which is a full sixteenth bigger than the pad. It measured 3.
I bought sand paper made by XXGO from Amazon. When I tried the fit, the paper over hung the edge of the pad by about 1/32 all the way around.
I didn’t have the pads designed to use with this adapter but I did have an over abundance of orbital pads. I thought I was ordering a 3 1/8 pad to fit my existing sand paper. Both are advertised to be 3 1/2 inch products.
Needless to say, if you’re looking for a sanding pad that fits your DeWalt multi tool, select this one. 600 inches.
