-I think The Manningtree Witches is a great book to read as we head into spooky season, and I would recommend it to readers who enjoy the classics and historical fiction with more slow-burn plots. -𝗕𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻-𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗮𝗺, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁, 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗽 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗳𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀. -𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗿.

And she serves as a reminder to all women that to be strong and outspoken brings challenges in a society where women are still viewed as second class citizens. . Having grown up in a very religious household where things that shouldn't have occurred were often 'justified' by religion, I recognise the arrogance in Hopkins, and he truly disgusted me. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲, 𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙧 .
