Age: 12 Years + Each player takes on the role of an aristocrat, originally controlling a small princedom.
- As soon as a player creates a direct, straight connection between two monasteries with 5 connecting tiles on his game board, he earns 5 victory points.
- The first player to complete all three connections between his monasteries wins an additional bonus of 5-7 victory points (for a 2-4 player game).
- The second player to complete all three connections wins 2-4 victory points.

What can I say, more than what has already been said in a thousand sauces, The Castles of Burgundy is a fantastic game. This copy will be used when we meet up with friends and play in cafes or similar use cases.

The only difficulty is to assign the special victory points after you have occupied all the fields of a color. It was already before this “revised” version, certainly not deluxe, but now it is even more so. The symbols and colors are easily recognizable. Each turn dice are rolled and players draft or place tiles with restrictions based on their roll results.

Very interesting game, I love to roll dices and put tiles on my player board. Sure there are some missprints here and there but overall very usable! 🎲 The Castles of Burgundy (2019)🤓 Stefan Feld🏭 alea. I asked amazon to replace my game, because of this issue and broken box issue (maybe by shipping).

I must admit that I have not played it many times. The colors of the tiles are sometimes difficult to detect. In total, you roll 25 times, so you have 50 actions.

Post pandemic copies of the game seem to be better built and sorted out compared to the ones purchased from 2019 - 2022. Here, it is a more advanced, much more strategic, and very balanced Catan. The only downside that I would put on it is the art of the central board which is a bit confusing point but is that the original version was not much better.
