The grinder is ok and using it wasn't a problem. Since I have other cordless Makita tools with batteries it made sense to buy another Makita product. Before making this purchase I already had a couple of corded angle grinders and after damaging the power cord on one of them while working in an enclosed area, I decided I needed at least one cordless grinder.

So, a nice grinder and fully compatible with my corded Makita grinder so I even have a spare tool. I'm not sure it developed full power when my 5A battery was down to 2 bars but after re-charging fully, everything was as expected.
