Juliette lied to Roma to save his life. It felt so anticlimactic that they died simultaneously. Having enjoyed These Violent Delights, but having not loved it, I wasn't expecting much from this book.

Yet it made so much sense. Which leads me to my irritation over the ending .
Love can conquer all but will it be enough to help Roma and Juliette save everyone in time before another monster plague hits? This is proving difficult because he now hates her as passionately as he loves her. It's all the more annoying as the book is really great (hence the 4 stars so as not to sink it in despite a dubious delivery).
