Easy to apply and fast drying so all good, would recommend. Very easy to use, and easy to remove as you are working in case you do a mistake.

I then used a gloss varnish on top to seal it. So I thought I'd have a look online and found this wonderful little set. This small bottle went a long way and was plenty for 3 coats. Does the job well, and comes up true to colour.

These 35mm wooden magnetic playing pieces were originally all the same plywood colour so I just used their magnets with a metal support to dip each one into the stain; allowed it to drain and used an old cloth to dab off the excess from the edges. I made a couple of wall sconces for my candles and wood was pine colour, but the dark oak wood dye gave a great result very pleased with the product and if you use a brush will wash out easily, I prefer a cloth to apply it even if the wood dye gets on hands washes of easy as it is water based dye so a 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ product, hope you like the sconces. I made a mistake when ordering a new chair - I ordered the wrong colour legs and they didn’t match our existing sofa! Very easy to use, and the final result definitely worth the effort.

I then applied 3 coats of matt varnish over the top. Over the years the finish has been removed from using a brush to get greasy steam cooking residues out of the nooks and crannies.
