I also flew on an older Air Canada Airbus A319, (photo 3 and photo 7) and that time it was an aisle seat, also not a problem. But functional otherwise. !

I have used it on three flights so far, seems to hold up well. Colour and detailing of the pet carrier are as seen in the photos. The middle seat has the most foot room with slightly more generous width between the bench seat support.

I wear size 9 shoes, 145 lbs and 5'8" so not that big, your mileage, as they say, may vary, especially if you have a big guy sitting next to you. If your dog is comfortable in the bag, just be persistent if they give you any trouble because this bag works just fine!

I searched all over for a carrier that was the right size for my dachshund and finally found Sherpa. I also checked with the dimensions on this kennel with Air Canada customer service directly and they said it was perfect, so I trust it will be good.

We are traveling in province within Canada very soon, and we wanted the cats to get used to their kennels since they will be spending a great amount of time in them. ) - unless we're talking about a $80++ carrier. We got two medium sized bags, our cats are both a year old, with our black cat being10lbs and our tabby being 8. He did not want to go in and when I put him in, he jumped out, however, he's a bit more anxious.

Photo 4 shows how the top zippers open and your pet can have a look around. It fits well under any of the seats of a Boeing 737-400. I carried it on my shoulder with her in it and the carrier held its shape.
