Tuesday afternoon I'll call them back and in the evening I'll receive the return even though I had honestly requested a replacement. It is a strong individual for servers, including those starting with MG (this product). I decide to buy it from an 'online hypermarket', after a few days I receive it at home, packaged fairly well (Photo 1), but I already notice the strange thing there, the sachet is open and is glued with adhesive tape. Vertical cased HDDs etc.

It most definitely responds to spin-down commands, I've had the OS configured to spin it down after 30 minutes of inactivity and this has worked fine. I could not hear any seek noise during this test unless I put my ear next to the drive, and then it was just faintly audible.
