Well done. - It doesn't drip - easy to transport anywhere - no tangled cables - Weight even with the battery is completely fine I was very skeptical about the battery at the beginning, as it is quite heavy. Overall I still rate this glue gun for light/DIY use and I'm pleased with it. The old pistol immediately disappeared into the eternal depths of the drawer.

Also, the glue sticks had come out of the bag they were in. The glue sticks themselves are ok and have a rated 30 second cooling time. First test passed very well You get 20 sticks (150x11mm) with the gun.

. Also, not only was the (manufacturer's) box it arrived in not taped shut but it also didn't have any material inside it to prevent the gun sliding about. During initial setup the gun consumed an entire glue stick before anything came through the nozzle. The battery life with a 5 Ah battery is easily one hour.

Providing you're not running your batteries flat or too hot in the gun I don't expect any problems because of that. As it was shipped in the manufacturers box it was a wonder none of it spilt out in transit.
Time will tell how long it lasts in use. Once switched on, it takes about three minutes for the adhesive to reach the right temperature. Since I already have many Makita 18 volt cordless tools, this hot glue gun was a welcome addition. It doesn't fit the nozzle, nor is it big enough to slide over a glue stick end.
But the glue gun is so great that the weight is not noticeable. When the battery is inserted, the part stands perfectly on the workbench or table. It arrived, it worked, it heated up quickly, had good glue flow rate, comfy ergonomics, & did what it claimed. My acquaintances too, are all super impressed and have also bought them
