Some of them look more like the Pokémon than others…some require a bit of poetic licence, but generally, it’s a fun concept book, just not quite the ease or kid-friendly nature I was hoping for. Although the recipes themselves do look really nice, for some younger bakers I think the long lists of ingredients might be a bit overwhelming.

It’s a little expensive but then it is branded so I always expect a little more. First of all I would say fair play, I think it’s no mean feat to be able to make food look like Pokemon. A book of inspiring fun and colourful Pokémon foods! This Pokémon cookbook is full of a range of recipe ideas, from baking to cooking, with a few drinks thrown in for good measure.

Also great to make some Lunchbox treats. This Pokémon themed cookbook isn’t your usual book of cake recipes, it contains some really interesting things to make, from the super cute Pikachu lemon tarts to Charizard pasta, as well as veggie spring rolls, smoothies and pokeball Hawaiian poke bowls! Fun, Yum, thought provoking. This is a super fun cookbook for any Pokémon lover!

My children, aged 7 and 9, have gone through the whole book and marked the pages of the items they want to bake. I was expecting more of a kids bake book, but this is actually proper recipes, mostly savoury, that an adult will need to make.
