About this deal

And you want to buy the best pots, growing media and nutrients for the job? We originally used the boxes as an afterschool club but we have decided that it works better if we meet in the school holidays as it means we can eat together (always popular) and then start planting at the same time. The families then take their pots home to grow. So you want to grow organically? For a non gardener like myself everything is so straight forward and fun! You want to do it in your own home or greenhouse? Grow your own vegetables with this complete vegetable growing kit. It's been really fun!

  • Excellent, medium-fertilised, tried and tested Tropic Mix
  • Trusty 250ml Measuring Cup
  • Top trio of organic bottle feeds made by the brilliant Biobizz
  • Easy for beginners - kit contains all you need, full instructions included
  • Eco-friendly kit - plastic-free gift bag, bamboo pots, peat-free compost disc, wooden plant markers, UK sourced and certified seed in plastic-free packs.

(Last image)This will be my bible for my new garden There's nothing worse to me than some boring old man harping on for hours about this or that.

Have bought several books lately as a newbie to No Dig (actually all kitchen) gardening. Huw is a refreshing change. Rather than just the basics, he shows ways to increase soil fertility, get better harvests and enjoy the garden even more.

This book has it all and is by far my favourite. Having watched quite a few of Hew's videos on YouTube recently I took the plunge on his book. Pleased to say that it's great and has give me, a very amateur gardener, some great tips. Particularly impressed that it isn't overcomplicated, and it has some good quality photos to keep it interesting.

- Section on natural pest control, natural inoculants, feeds and mulches- ‘Clean’ layout of the book, easy to navigate with gorgeous pictures- Permaculture ideas / direction without too much rigidity / detail (other books I have are too ‘heavy’ for my stage in gardening)- The suggested planting plan layouts- Master growing chart (year at-a-glance for each veg)- Polytunnel goals…. I'm really pleased to have this handbook on my bookshelf. sighhhh…. Highlights for me as a new starter include:- Compact & concise section on each of the veg groups from seed to harvest (as I was getting confused with my calendar and the seed envelopes as to where I was and what was next for say, onions).

Huw's sound advice steps up a level in this book.
