The plastic caps stop the user from chewing and biting the wooden ends of the pencil. Four primary colours plus a dark brown and black are included as is a chunky bright red pencil sharpener. The pencils are nicely packaged and also comes with a sharpener (for adults use only, obviously)The 6 coloured pencils are lovely and chunky and have a rubber top to save any accidents or children from chewing them. These manufacturers are clearly familiar with very young, creatives!

However I'm super confident a child won't be able to remove them seeing as I as determined adult strong bloke couldn't. 5cm including the colourful plastic caps.

I like how the rubber tops have little smiley faces on, cute touch! Each cap has a smiley face, making the pencils look like little people with funny hats on. What seperates these from normal colouring pencils is the thickness, that makes them easier for little hands to grasp.
